Join HUB Organoids, the leading expert in adult stem cell derived organoid technology and help us support drug development programs from our biopharmaceutical partners.

We are looking for a Scientific Business Development Manager (SBDM) that will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with current and potential clients, ensuring effective communication of our scientific capabilities and providing strategic guidance on HUB services. The SBDM will liaise between the customer and internal scientific teams, ensuring that the services provided meet the customer research needs by delivering relevant proposals and applying right pricing.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities

Client engagement, consultation and scientific support

  • Provide scientific expertise and consultation to customers considering their research needs, experimental design, and data interpretation.
  • Support customers during the sales process tailoring solutions to address their needs.
  • Deliver presentations effectively conveying technical and scientific aspects of HUB services and show cases, generating proposals for customers.
  • Collaborate with internal scientific teams to tailor our services based on customer specifications and deliverables.

Business development

  • Establish new sales opportunities (new or existing customers) through scientific engagement with the customers providing them scientific guidance in designing their projects and define how they would benefit from HUB services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with biopharmaceutical industry to understand industry trends, capture their needs and propose relevant services.
  • Manage the overview of existing projects to ensure repeat business.

Sale strategy and execution

  • Work closely with HUB R&D team in order to gain insight of new developments and bridge the gap between customer’s need and HUB services.
  • Recommend and implement sales strategy based on industry trends, HUB R&D pipeline and customer’s need to achieve growth and revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing collaterals, case studies, and align sales and marketing initiatives that effectively convey HUB’s scientific expertise and value.
  • Establish an effective cross-functional working relationships with Marketing and Sales, R&D, Programme Management, and other stakeholders to align efforts and provide holistic offerings to customers.

Market intelligence and reporting

  • Monitor industry trends and competitors activities to identify new opportunities contributing to sales strategy and ensure HUB remains competitive.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, customer requests, feedback and interactions to recommend new services or improvement (using CRM tools).
  • Frequent reports on market insights, customer trends, sales performance (scientific content related).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or related field
  • 5-8+ years work experience in equivalent position in CRO, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or related industry
  • Organoid or Stem Cell knoweldege and/or experience
  • Able to travel across the US and occasionally internationally, up to 30% or more as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences or related field
  • MBA

Role can be based anywhere in the US

Pay Range for this position: $103,500 - $178,700. The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
