Joining our thriving science Department at New Forest School, you'll work with young people in Years 7 to 11 — sparking curiosity, building confidence, and opening doors through the power of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. This is a role for someone who believes that sparking an interest in the world of science, can genuinely change a life.
The successful candidate will:
Plan and deliver lessons whilst following the national curriculum.
Have a desire to work in an SEN setting.
Be approachable, flexible and adaptable, with a desire to make a difference in our students lives.
Have the capability for supporting children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.
Possess effective communication and relationship building skills.
Be passionate about providing quality education care and support to young people.
To intervene physically with our students, when required, using Team Teach trained techniques when de-escalation strategies have failed (full training will be provided).
Demonstrate analytical thinking to improve the quality of pupils' learning.
Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom engage and motivate pupils.
Qualifications and requirements:
Based in the UK and do not require sponsorship.
QTS or equivalent required.
Proven teaching experience.
Desire to work in an SEN setting.
Effective communication skills and build good relationships.
Flexible and adaptable.
Full UK driving licence – desirable.
