Job Description

1. Assisting teachers in science labs / classroom

- Prepare apparatus and materialsbefore science lessons and activities for P3 to P6

- Preparation of apparatus and materials for practical tests

- Assisting teachers during Science lessons inthe Labs and science activities outside classroom such as science gardening activities and when deemed necessary.

2. Assist in the upkeep of equipment in science lab and upkeep of science learning values such as urbanponics/hydroponics area and science gardens

- Assisting Teacher IC with:

- recording of loaning/breakage materials

- annual stock taking of materials in the science lab

- checking and upkeep of science learning venues such as urbanphonics/hydroponics area and science gardens

- Checking and cleaning of unwanted or discard of faulty materials

- Maintenances of equipment by checking the workability of the equipment

- Liaising with vendors and Operation Managers to ensure maintenance and checks on equipment are carried out

3. Maintenance of science lab

- Maintain the tidiness and cleaniness of the lab

- Changing of newdispalys in the display cabinets

- To disinfect Science Labs rooms as and when required

4. Any other administrative work related to maintenance and upkeep of Science Labs and Environment Hub

5. Assists General Office with general administrative duties

- Provide administrative support at General Office

- Provide customer service at the reception counter- attend to visitors including parents, staff, pupils and vendors

• Answer phone calls within three rings, record phone messages and attend to walk in enquiries.
• Make phone calls eg helping sick pupils to call parents
• Attend to good delivery and direct them to the appropriate locations
• Assist in logistics matters for eg parcking of items,preparation of rooms for school functions etc
• Shredding of documents
• Preparation and verification of documents, maintaining and updating of data records, fillingand typing and data entry

- Any other duties assigned by Principal,Vice-Principal, HOD/Science, AM and OM deemed necessary

Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma (Science related area would be beneficial)
• Ability to demonstratek knowledge and skills in handling common Lab equipement found in school labs (eg Microscope, datalogger, etc)
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in MOE School, either in a similar role or within a similar context

Duration/working hours:

1 year contract (Option to extend another year) (Mar 26 to Mar 27)

Monday to Friday: 7.30am to 4pm inclusive of half hour lunch break

Service not required on Saturdaus, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Personnel willnot be required to do overtime
