Main duties:
set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
develop effective teaching and learning strategies
plan and implement engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities, ensuring that all our students feel included and supported in their learning
assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals
ability to manage behaviour in the classroom to foster a positive learning environment
promote and monitor the use of school policies within the subject
promote a high standard of speaking, listening, writing and reading of science, for both students and colleagues
contribution to curriculum development and the enhancement of teaching resources which will help ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of the subject
attend relevant training courses to continue own professional development
establish positive working relationships among colleagues, modelling effective teamworking and support
develop positive communication with pupils and parents.
