
As a member of the Reference, Instruction, and Academic Engagement team, the Science and Data Services Librarian will serve as a liaison to the departments of Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Physics & Astrophysics, Mathematical Sciences, and Geography & GIS and will play a key role in developing programmatic support of numerical and geospatial data services, including facilitating access to data resources and providing research and instruction support to faculty and students in their use across the curriculum. The position will also collaborate with the Scholarly Communications Librarian and others to support Open Science initiatives on campus.
The Science and Data Services Librarian will work in a highly-supportive and collegial culture that encourages active participation in meaningful and valuable skills training and professional development. This includes workshops, committee memberships, and engagement in programs that support the Library’s mission and its inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility goals, while building connections and partnerships across DePaul’s wider academic and user community.
