ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School Alicante is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable Middle School Teacher specialising in Science and Maths to join the school on a temporary basis of up to 8 weeks, with an immediate start.

The successful candidate will teach Science and Maths as part of the English academic curriculum, providing engaging and well-structured lessons and supporting students in their academic progress during the temporary assignment.

This role would suit an experienced teacher who is confident teaching across Middle School, has strong subject knowledge in both Science and Maths, and can quickly integrate into an established school environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach Science and Maths to Middle School students.
• Deliver lessons in line with the English academic curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured and appropriately challenging lessons.
• Adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive, supportive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Support students in developing strong subject knowledge, problem-solving skills and independent learning habits.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A recognised teaching qualification appropriate for the age range.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science and Maths.
• Previous experience teaching Science and Maths at Middle School level.
• Experience delivering or working within the English academic curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students quickly.
• Flexible, adaptable and able to integrate effectively into an established teaching team.
• A student-centred approach and commitment to high academic standards.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Immediate availability and the ability to commit to the temporary assignment for up to 8 weeks.
