Job Description

Make a difference every school day! CCRES is seeking caring, dependable individuals to support students with developmental, behavioral, emotional, and personal care needs in local school settings.

As a school-based behavioral health Support Staff (PCA, BHT, RBT), you will work one-on-one or with small groups of students to help them participate in classroom activities, build positive relationships, manage behaviors, and achieve academic, social, and emotional success.

Schedule

  • Work during the regular school calendar year on student attendance days
  • Full-time, daytime hours
  • Typical secondary schedule: approximately 7:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • Typical elementary schedule: approximately 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
  • Specific hours vary by school and assignment and student's arrival and dismissal plan

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and small-group support to students with disabilities.
  • Help students participate in classroom activities and access their educational environment.
  • Support students’ academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and personal care needs.
  • Follow strategies outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Positive Behavior Support Plan.
  • Assist with behavior management, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and positive peer interactions.
  • Collect daily data and complete accurate progress notes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, behavioral health teams, and other school personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism or other special needs preferred
  • Patience, dependability, professionalism, and a genuine interest in helping students success
