Apply principles, methods and procedures for an analysis of speech and language comprehension and production to determine communicative competencies. Provide intervention strategies and services related to speech and language development and literacy development as well as disorders of language, voice, articulation and fluency and functional communication that adversely affect an individual's educational performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requirements
Qualifications: Hold current CDE Special Services Provider license with endorsement in one of the following: Speech Therapist, Speech Correction or Speech/Language Pathologist. Masters degree in speech pathology or communications disorders from a recognized training institution or qualified by Statement of Professional Recognition. Must be certified by ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association) upon eligibility after clinical fellowship year.
Preferred Qualifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. Knowledge of augmentative communication systems.
