At John Boner Neighborhood Centers (JBNC), we know that student success doesn't happen only in the classroom. Strong schools, supported families, and connected communities all play an important role in helping young people reach their potential.
We're seeking a School Site Manager to join our Neighbor Success team and provide leadership for JBNC's community school sites. In this role, you'll bring together school staff, community partners, JBNC programs, and families to strengthen student achievement and family stability through our Family Success 2Gen approach
The School Site Manager is a mid-level leadership position responsible for overseeing JBNC's community school programming and ensuring programs are effectively delivered, measured, and aligned with the needs of students and families.
You'll oversee the implementation of the community school model as well as Dreams to Scholars, an initiative focused on 529 plans and building a college-going culture. You'll also provide leadership to staff, collaborate closely with school personnel and community partners, monitor program outcomes, and ensure services remain aligned with organizational and funding requirements.
A typical day as a School Site Manager may begin at one of JBNC's partner schools, meeting with school leadership to discuss student and family needs, program performance, or upcoming initiatives. Later, you might meet with Community School Coordinators and Family Navigators to review caseloads, address challenges, and make sure families are being connected to the right resources.
Throughout the day, you'll balance relationship-building with program leadership—reviewing performance data, coaching staff, monitoring funding requirements, participating in a school or community committee, or working with partners to improve how services are delivered. You'll regularly move between JBNC and school sites, making this a role for someone who enjoys being engaged in the community rather than sitting behind a desk all day.

You'll also be responsible for developing and retaining a strong team through coaching, support, accountability, and opportunities for professional growth.
John Boner Neighborhood Centers' mission is to inspire neighbors and partners to improve quality of life on Indianapolis' Near Eastside by providing tools for change and growth.
As a School Site Manager, you'll have the opportunity to turn that mission into action inside schools—bringing together education, family support, community resources, and strong partnerships to help students and their families move forward together.

Our work falls into five focus areas, with multiple activities within each focus area.
1. Financial Success: JBNC supports neighbors in achieving financial well-being. Through education, coaching services, and career development, neighbors increase capacity to create, build, and pass down long-term wealth.
2. Education Achievement: When youth have access to exceptional educational supports and are set up to succeed in school, their opportunities for the future grow exponentially. JBNC helps foster that progress through a continuum of health, social, and educational supports from birth through college and career.
3. Health & Wellness: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for a happy life, and wellness looks different for each of us from generation to generation. That means different tools and programs to meet different goals. JBNC offers resources to help our neighbors achieve the results that lead to health and independence.
4. Housing Opportunities: By providing safe, stable housing options to families, older adults, mobility-impaired, and vulnerable families, JBNC is able to enhance and maintain quality of life for multiple generations. JBNC owns, operates and manages 250 housing units to offer stable housing to those who need it most.
5. Community Development: Great neighborhoods aren't just about the people - they're also about the places where we live, work, and play. JBNC works with neighbors, partners, and other stakeholders to improve the quality of life through impactful projects and initiatives that affect the quality of life for all residents.
