What You’ll Do
Security Responsibilities
- Point Person for middle school camera footage and coverage during heightened times of day (arrival, recess, dismissal, etc.)
- Supports parking permit walks, issuing tickets as needed
- Monitors elementary school parking lot throughout student dismissal
- Covers responsibilities of Security Manager as needed during absences
- Rotates athletic home game coverage with Security Manager
- Maintains a highly visible presence throughout campus to promote a safe and positive school environment
- Responds promptly to student behavior concerns and safety incidents
- Appropriately assists administrators with student investigations when requested by reviewing surveillance footage and documenting findings
- Identifies areas requiring increased supervision and recommends proactive safety measures to the Security Manager
- Monitors campus entrances, visitor access, and parking areas
- Supports emergency drills and assists during emergency response situations
- Documents incidents accurately and prepares reports as needed
- Develops positive relationships with students that encourage accountability, trust, and respectful interactions
- Communicates safety concerns to school leadership in a timely manner
Transportation Clerical Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate transportation rosters and student rider information
- Tracks vehicle mileage, usage, and maintenance documentation
- Maintains transportation behavior records and assists with follow-up communication
- Assists with transportation planning during school events and field trips
- Provides operational support to the Transportation Manager during schedule changes and daily problem-solving
- Assists families with transportation registration and rider updates
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly
/Non-Exempt
- $22.92 - $26.92 per hour
- Full-Time; Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:15 PM & Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

QualificationsWho You Are
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of experience working with adolescents in a school, youth services, security, transportation, law enforcement, or related setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Strong conflict de-escalation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to recognize safety concerns, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and web-based information systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community partners.
- Valid driver's license and successful completion of all required background checks.

Essential Job Functions
- Ability to walk extensively throughout campus during arrival, dismissal, lunch periods, and security patrols.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while monitoring student activity, traffic flow, parking areas, and athletic events.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven surfaces across campus facilities and grounds.
- Ability to observe and respond to student, visitor, and vehicle activity across multiple locations
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and safety concerns.
- Ability to maintain visual and auditory awareness sufficient to monitor campus safety and security.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings for athletic events and coverage during Security Manager absences.
