Required Certificates and Licenses: Michigan School Psychologist Certification Required

Residency Requirements: Mustresidein Michigan.

The School Psychologist provides psychological evaluation services including, but not limited to, assessments, reports, providing related educational recommendations, consultation, therapy, and any other applicable educational services for studentsatthe school.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week isrequired Ability tomaintaina professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCATIONS:   Reasonable accommodationmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to performtheessential duties.

  • Ensure all newly received documents (evaluation team reports, etc.) arecompliant

  • Take the necessary steps to ensure compliance whennecessary

  • Ensure all existing documents are compliant following the guidelines set forth by thestate

  • Administer academic and other assessments to currently enrolled students per mandatedtimeframes

  • Lead evaluation team report meetings;Participatesin the school’s interventionassistanceteam

  • Assist the Principal of Special Programs in developing/leading/participatingin professional development for the general education staff, special education staff, and parents of students in special educationprograms

  • Consult with guidance counselors to provide training in various emotional healthareas

  • Keep abreast of all changing legislative issuesimpactingspecial educationeligibility

  • Provide guidance with the implementation of school,proceduresandprojects

  • Serve on school committees;participatesin professional developmentsessions

  • Collaborate with national Stride efforts including participation in special projects and/ortaskforces, developingpolicies and proceduresand training.

MINIMUMREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in related field of study

  • Experience as a school psychologist

  • Ability to Clear required backgroundcheck

  • Ability to travel throughout the statetoadminister assessments and outside of the state for professional developmentopportunities

Compensation & Benefits:Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work,requiredtravel (if any), external market and internal value whendetermininga new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
