Job Title: Professors (Part-Time) - Mathematics

Department: School of Access, Language and Preparatory Studies

Location: Aviation Campus – North Bay, ON

Contract Duration: September 8 – December 18, 2026 (14 weeks excluding Reading Week)

AMT098: Aircraft Science & Aerodynamics I
CHM105: Introductory Chemistry
MTH108: Trades Calculations
MTH132: Avionics Mathematics
MTH509: Pre-Aviation Mathematics I

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Math; relevant Master’s Degree preferred
• Knowledge of applicable and relevant industry and applications in math
• Demonstrated ability to apply mental math, paper-and-pencil algorithms, and technology and tools (e.g., drawings, calculators) to teach math fundamentals of whole numbers, fractions, decimals, ration, rate, and proportion, percent, measurement, algebra, statistics, and probability, and rational numbers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of student success strategies in a post-secondary setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous teaching experience is an asset
• Must be able to reliably commute to the campuses of Canadore College in North Bay, ON required

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with students and colleagues to provide an optimal learning environment
• Perform all responsibilities associated with the learning environment including preparation, delivery, and evaluation of theory, and practical learning activities
