
[What the role is]
School of Engineering - Lecturer (Supply Chain Management)
[What you will be working on]
• Curriculum development, course delivery and assessment for youth and adult learners via face-to-face and E-learning modes, primarily in the areas of Supply Chain and Logistics, as well as other Engineering disciplines
• Supervise students’ final year projects and internships.
• Reach out to various stakeholders such as industry partners and universities for collaboration opportunities.
• Mentor and assist in tracking students’ academic, non-academic performance, and motivate students in their learning journey
• Drive new initiatives related to supply chain innovation, AI adoption, sustainability, logistics transformation or/and other emerging trends in the supply chain and logistics sector.
• Initiate and develop industry-linked collaborations and projects with industry partners.
• Propose and participate in academic or industry research for curricula and student development.
• Conduct student development activities such as mentoring, career guidance, competition training, certification coaching, service-learning, student overseas trips, school branding and outreach, and other administrative portfolios as assigned.
• Deliver planned curriculum to adult learners on scheduled weekday evenings or on weekends and participate in assessment activities.
[What we are looking for]
• Qualification in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Industrial and Systems Engineering/Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant industry experience in the supply chain/logistics sector.
• Strong industry linkages in the related fields.
• Able to develop curriculum, and deliver lessons related to:
- supply chain/logistics.
- all other Engineering discipline modules.
• Preferably experienced in digital transformation and/or AI-related projects in the Supply Chain and Logistics sector, including the application of Internet of Things (IoT), Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics & Automation, blockchain, or/and other digital solutions to address supply chain and logistics challenges.
• Passionate about education and possess strong passion for mentoring, teaching and motivating both youth and adult learners.
• Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Team-player in collaborative settings.
• Adaptable to change with the ability to work within tight timelines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with people at all levels.
• Sound planning and organising skills, practical and responsible.
