Job Title: Technologist (Part-Time) – Acting for Stage and Screen
Department: School of Art and Design – Acting for Stage and Screen Program
Location: College Drive Campus – North Bay, ON
Status: Temporary Part-Time
Assignment dates: September 8 – December 18, 2026
Hours Per Week: Up to 24 hours
Pay Rate: $19.22/hour + 6% vacation pay

Qualifications:
• Two (2) year Diploma with a focus on Acting for Stage and Screen
• Familiarity with filming and editing for actor’s digital reels and scene work
• Experience in operating theatrical lighting and sound for production purposes
• Training in basic hand to hand stage combat
• Strong knowledge of networks and computers, broadcast, and digital film technologies
• Background as a professional film/theatre actor is an asset
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
• Ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate filming, replay, and editing of reels.
• Demonstrate fight techniques, populate visual aids and guides to various techniques, as well as resources for Faculty to draw on for any particular skill that requires additional information and/or support which varies cohort to cohort.
• Provide Technical operation in G107 with lights and sound
• Assist with all aspects of the Production for Theatre Canadore, from creation of the set to setup, to rehearsals, to execution and tear down
