About the Opportunity
Glenelg Shire Council is seeking reliable, community-minded individuals to join our team as School Crossing Supervisors. We currently have one part-time position (15 hours per fortnight) and casual opportunities available.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in keeping children, families, and the wider community safe during peak school travel times.
As a School Crossing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe operation of designated school crossings, assisting pedestrians to crossroads safely and promoting road safety awareness. You will be a visible and trusted presence in the community, helping to create a safe and supportive environment for students travelling to and from school.
This role is ideally suited to individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are dependable, and take pride in contributing to their local community. Shifts typically occur on school days during morning and afternoon periods, offering a great work-life balance. The position is offered Monday to Friday in split shifts each day, 8:15am to 9:00am and 3:00pm to 3:45pm.
Council provides full training, uniform, and ongoing support to ensure you are confident and equipped to perform the role safely and effectively.
If you are passionate about community safety and making a positive difference, we encourage you to apply.
