The School Counselor provides a comprehensive school counseling program that meets the needs of students and promotes and enhances the academic, spiritual, personal, social, and career development of all Mount de Sales students. Duties include implementing the school counseling curriculum; conducting individual and group sessions; serving as a resource for staff and parents; and making appropriate referrals to community agencies and programs, as needed. The School Counselor must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills that allow for effective communication with all levels of the school community. The counselor demonstrates dedication to the mission and vision of Mount de Sales Academy.
The School Counselor at Mount de Sales Academy is expected to be a highly skilled professional who works in close collaboration with administration to effectively fulfill the various roles required throughout the day. Mount de Sales Academy seeks to offer a high-quality program that is integrated with religious truths and values. The School Counselor strives to provide opportunities for students to be prepared for life in today’s Church and society through a strong foundation in the beliefs, values, and traditions of the Catholic Church. The School Counselor is expected to model Gospel values in personal demeanor, professional conduct, and the counseling he or she provides to students. Respect for the dignity of each person under his or her care is of utmost importance. Likewise, students are expected to model Christ-like behavior in their interactions with the counselor and with one another.

Pay Range $64,000 - $70,000, Annualized
