
2027-2028 School Counselor: Heritage CUSD #8
Heritage Community Unit School District #8 is seeking a full-time School Counselor to support students in the areas of academic achievement, college and career readiness, and social-emotional development.
Primary responsibilities include academic advising, course scheduling, graduation planning, postsecondary and career readiness, student support, 504 coordination, assessment support, transcript review, and collaboration with students, families, staff, and community partners.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Counselor endorsement, or eligibility to obtain the required licensure by the start date. Candidates currently completing an approved school counseling preparation program and who anticipate meeting Illinois licensure requirements by the start date are encouraged to apply.
