The Cleaning Technician for Schools plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for students and staff. This part-time position within the utilities sector focuses on ensuring that educational facilities are hygienic and welcoming, contributing to the overall well-being and productivity of the school community.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces in classrooms, hallways, and restrooms.
Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of school events as required.
Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role, preferably in an educational setting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
