A bus driver is a person who, under the supervision of a manager, supervisor, dispatcher, or trainer, operates a van or bus over designated routes transporting school pupils, or clients to and from school or other locations. In addition, a bus driver may transport clients on private charter trips. Bus drivers may work with loud and disruptive clients. Drivers may also work with special needs individuals.

As a professional school bus driver you will play a vital role in your community as the first and last school interaction students have each day as they progress towards becoming a valuable, educated member of society. You will help set the tone for their day. Your continued dedication and positive encouragement will have a lasting impact on your students.
You will be responsible for transporting children to and from school while fostering and maintaining a safe environment, driving assigned routes accurately and efficiently, observing and obeying all traffic rules and regulations. In addition, you will follow assigned safety rules, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and check for students that might remain on board in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
