- Your Role & Impact
As a Psychotherapist, you’ll be a vital member of the care team contributing to the provision of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare. You’ll support clinical operations and patient care by providing direct behavioral health clinical services to children, adolescents, adults, and families to improve psychosocial functioning at assigned clinical site, which can include school-based locations.
Patient Care & Enhancing Care Flow
- Provide trauma informed, affirming, culturally appropriate and compassionate psychotherapy services in individual and group settings.
- Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health patients.
- Provide effective treatment planning and assist clients in successfully achieving goals.
- Assist in the detection of “at risk” patients and development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
- Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.
Collaborative Support & Communication
- Practice clinical consultation with peers when appropriate and as assigned by the Behavioral Health Lead.
- Help in the creation of systems to ensure integration of behavioral health services into overall health care provision at Esperanza
- Develop contacts with community resources and serve as patient advocate as appropriate.
- Participate in the development and modification of clinic programs as indicated.
- Always conduct themselves in a professional manner, practice open and respectful communication, problem solving skills, and self-care.
Administrative Duties
- Write Behavioral health support letters for patients who need them.
- Keep the highest standards for documentation and confidentiality for patients care.
- Participate in staff meetings and supervision.
- Meeting productivity and Quality Improvement measures and goals.
- Timely attend team member trainings and performance development.
- Be accountable for personal and professional growth with continuing education seminars/workshops as required for re-licensure.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field (Professional Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy).
- Current Illinois license as Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor/Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Or Pre-licensed in Illinois as Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor/Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. (Supervision hours towards licensure will be provided)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Displays strong time management and organizational skills in a high intensity work environment.
- Desire to be a self-starter and take initiative, especially in a remote working environment.
- Handle protective health information in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA)
- Thrives working in a team-based environment
- Knowledge of quality improvement and data analysis skills preferred, but not required
- Experience working in healthcare and/or a primary care setting preferred
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, with attention
