School-Based Therapist

Waynesboro, TN

Starting Salary: $42,300-$46,700

Make a Lasting Impact in the Lives of Students

Centerstone is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Therapist to provide behavioral health services to students in the Wayne County School System, including:

  • Waynesboro Elementary School
  • Waynesboro Middle School
  • Waynesboro High School

This position offers a unique opportunity to provide therapy where students spend most of their day, helping children and adolescents build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and achieve success both in and out of the classroom.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct clinical intake assessments and establish diagnoses
  • Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual therapy services to students based on assessed clinical needs
  • Collaborate with families, school personnel, and treatment team members
  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor treatment progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Respond professionally and promptly to client and organizational needs
  • Maintain ethical standards and sound clinical judgment in all services provided

Qualifications

Required

  • Master's degree in:
    • Social Work
    • Counseling
    • Marriage and Family Therapy
    • Clinical Psychology
    • Related behavioral health field

Preferred

  • License-eligible in Tennessee
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Experience in school-based, outpatient, or community mental health settings

Alternative Qualifications

Applicants with a related behavioral health degree may qualify with:

  • 24 graduate semester hours in behavioral health-related coursework
  • Training in assessment, treatment planning, psychopathology, and DSM-based diagnosis
  • Relevant clinical internship or practicum experience

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to meet organizational vehicle insurance requirements
