
Physical Therapist (Full-Time and/or Part-Time)

Saint Joseph’s Medical Center is seeking Full-Time and/or Part-Time Physical Therapists (new grads are welcome) to join our School-Based Rehabilitation Program for the 2026–2027 school year. Reporting to the Director of the School-Based Rehab Program the Physical Therapists will provide intervention and evaluation for children in schools and/or in their homes, document sessions and progress, prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and maintain ongoing communication with parents, guardians and teachers. Responsible for evaluating, treating and maintaining appropriate documentation on school-based children as assigned by the SBRP Director, in accordance with Saint Joseph's Medical Center policies and procedures, contracts with various Boards of Education, and within the guidelines established by New York State law. Responsible for attendance at all mandatory and required SBRP and district meetings and trainings. Responsible for communicating with parents, school personnel, Board of Education and School-Based Rehab Program. Opportunities for supervision may be available.
Job Requirements:
Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and strong communication skills; written and verbal. Must have excellent organizational skills and be flexible.
Education:
Bachelor of Science, Masters, or Doctorate degree from a Physical Therapy program.
New York State Physical Therapy License required.
Experience:
At least one year experience in pediatrics, specifically with school-age populations is preferred.
