We are seeking a School-Based Clinician I who is passionate about supporting children and adolescents and helping students thrive both academically and emotionally.

This is a full-time, employee position within our Children’s Services program, providing school-based behavioral health services at Francis Walsh Intermediate School in North Branford.

Schedule: This position follows a 10-month school year schedule, with compensation prorated and paid over 12 months.

Candidates must reside in Connecticut to be eligible for this position.

What You Will Do

As a School-Based Clinician, you will play a vital role in supporting students through prevention, intervention, counseling, and crisis response services within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, or academic challenges.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, social-emotional screenings, and treatment planning.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including CBT, trauma-informed practices, DBT-informed skill building, and restorative approaches.
• Respond to student crises, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate appropriate safety interventions and referrals.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community providers to support student success and well-being.
• Participate in PPT, Section 504, MTSS, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist in developing and monitoring behavioral interventions and support plans.
• Provide parent education, family support, advocacy, and referrals to community resources.

What You Will Bring

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related mental health discipline.
• LMSW or LPC-A required, LCSW or LPC licensure preferred
• Connecticut School Social Worker Certification (071 endorsement) preferred.
• Experience providing therapy and counseling services to children, adolescents, and families.
• Experience in school-based, special education, behavioral health, or community mental health settings preferred.
• Knowledge of MTSS frameworks, special education processes, Section 504 regulations, crisis intervention, and behavioral assessment procedures.
• Strong knowledge of CBT, DBT-informed interventions, trauma-informed practices, restorative approaches, and other evidence-based behavioral health interventions.

What We Offer

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$75,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors including relevant skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, and internal equity considerations.
