We are seeking a School-Based Clinician who is passionate about helping children and families thrive. In this role, you'll provide high-quality clinical services within school settings, helping students overcome behavioral health challenges while collaborating with families, schools, and community partners.
This is a full-time employee position within our Children’s Services program, providing school-based behavioral health services at Oxford Public Schools, including Quaker Farms School, Great Oak Elementary School, Oxford Middle School, and Oxford High School.
Schedule: This position follows a 10-month school year schedule, with compensation prorated and paid over 12 months.
Candidates must reside in Connecticut to be eligible for this position.
What You Will Do:
As a School-Based Clinician, you will provide assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapeutic support to children and adolescents in a school setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and treatment planning for students referred through school-based services.
- Provide individual, family, crisis, and group therapy using evidence-based practices, including trauma-informed approaches and Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS).
- Respond to urgent behavioral health needs, crisis situations, and Rapid Response Evaluations, coordinating care with families, schools, hospitals, and community providers.
- Serve as a trusted liaison and advocate for students and families, helping connect them with appropriate services and resources.
- Deliver parenting support programs, clinical consultation, trauma screenings, and other specialized services that promote student well-being and success.
- Complete timely documentation, treatment updates, and clinical records in accordance with agency, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Connecticut clinical licensure required or license-eligible status (LCSW preferred; LMSW, LPC, or other qualified mental health licensure considered).
- Minimum one year of experience providing therapy and behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families.
- Knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
- Experience providing crisis assessments and serving children with complex behavioral health needs.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with students, families, schools, and community partners.
