In support of the university’s mission and objectives, the Scholarship Coordinator supports the administration of institutional, departmental, and external scholarships to promote access and affordability for students. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and university regulations while accurately determining eligibility, posting awards, and reconciling funds. The coordinator also collaborates with students and campus partners to support enrollment and retention goals through effective communication and stewardship of scholarship resources.
Scholarship Administration
- Administers and reconciles institutional, departmental, and external scholarships in compliance with federal, state, and university regulations.
- Coordinates the Universal Scholarship Application process, working with campus partners to identify and award eligible students.
- Posts, adjusts, and returns scholarship funds using PowerFAIDS, Jenzabar, or comparable financial aid systems.
- Maintains accurate scholarship records and prepares periodic reports on fund usage and outcomes.
- Assists in developing and refining policies and procedures to enhance service, compliance, and operational efficiency
Compliance & Data Management
- Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Maintains accurate and confidential financial aid records.
- Participates in audits and reviews to ensure data integrity.
- Evaluates and monitors student eligibility based on federal, state, institutional regulations, and cost of attendance.
- Identifies and resolves discrepancies, over-awards, and enrollment-based adjustments.
Collaboration
- Serves as a liaison between Financial Aid and campus partners, including but not limited to, Admissions, Advancement, Business & Finance, and external donors.
- Provides clear and accurate guidance to students and families regarding educational costs, scholarship opportunities, eligibility, and the financial aid process.
- Develops and delivers scholarship-related communications and notifications.
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in finance, education, business, or related field, required.
EXPERIENCE
1+ years of experience in higher education scholarship administration, financial aid, or related experience, required. Experience with financial aid management systems, preferred.
