What We Are Looking For

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Team Manager to lead the development of Schneider Electric's corporate Building Management System (BMS) platform.

As part of our global R&D organization, you will work closely with Product Management and development teams across multiple locations to drive innovation and deliver next-generation digital building solutions. Our state-of-the-art platform provides the foundational technology that enables customers to optimize building performance, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

This is a unique opportunity to combine people leadership, technical strategy, and product development within one of Schneider Electric's most important digital offerings. Your Impact

As Team Manager, you will lead a team responsible for developing software solutions that power the next generation of our BMS platform. You will create an environment where innovation, collaboration, execution and excellence thrive while ensuring the successful delivery of strategic objectives and product roadmaps.

Beyond leading day-to-day operations, you will help shape our engineering organization, influence strategic decisions, and contribute to the long-term development of our people, processes, and technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing software development team within an agile environment.
• Coach, mentor, and support engineers in their professional growth and career development.
• Drive execution and delivery of product roadmaps while ensuring quality, efficiency, and predictability.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Architects, and Engineering teams across a global organization.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships and facilitate effective communication between teams and stakeholders.
• Foster a customer-centric culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Promote best practices in software development, including quality assurance, cybersecurity, maintainability, and sustainability.
• Drive the adoption of modern development approaches, tools, and AI-enabled engineering practices.
• Support strategic planning, resource management, and decision-making within the organization.
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading software development teams.
• At least 5 years of experience with direct reports.
• Conduct development and performance reviews.
• Set goals and follow up on results.
• Provide feedback and coaching.
• Manage salary review and compensation processes.
• Support employee development and career planning.
• Proven track record of building, developing, and motivating high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex software products in an agile environment.
• Strong technical foundation with a genuine interest in modern software technologies and emerging trends.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in leveraging AI-assisted development tools and driving engineering productivity improvements.
• Experience developing customer-facing applications with a strong focus on user experience.
• Ability to influence and drive technical decisions across multiple teams.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
