We are seeking an experienced Scheduling Specialist / Scheduling Lead to support large scale construction programs with a focus on schedule governance, material readiness, and lead time optimization. This role plays a critical part in aligning Primavera P6 schedules with material procurement timelines and ensuring job sites receive materials when they need them.
You will work directly with construction, project controls, supply chain, and supplier partners to drive on time delivery and reduce risks across the build cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Management
- Access, read, and analyze Primavera P6 construction schedules.
- Identify schedule shifts, critical path implications, and material driven risks.
- Ensure alignment between site schedules, procurement milestones, and production timelines.
- Provide schedule-driven insights and forecasts to project teams.
Need By Date (NBD) Tracking
- Capture, validate, and maintain both canonical (standard) and site specific Need By Dates.
- Continuously update NBDs as site conditions change.
- Work with site teams, supply chain partners, and vendors to maintain accuracy and transparency.
- Ensure NBDs are reflected in the correct tracking tools and communicated effectively.
Material Lead Time Reduction
- Identify long lead materials early and track them from PO issuance through delivery.
- Partner with suppliers to accelerate production and mitigate delays.
- Provide visibility into factory readiness, transit timelines, and delivery risks.
- Recommend process improvements to shorten lead times and improve predictability.
Reporting & Communication
- Generate regular reports summarizing NBD updates, schedule risks, and material readiness.
- Present findings to internal stakeholders, site leaders, and supply chain partners.
- Document key decisions, changes, and risk mitigation steps.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 schedule interpretation.
- Deep understanding of construction sequencing for data centers, industrial facilities, or large commercial projects.
- Familiarity with material procurement cycles and supplier/manufacturer workflows.
- Proficiency with Excel, Smartsheet, and/or Power BI for reporting.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communicator who can collaborate across multiple teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented, structured, and highly organized.
Experience Level
- 5–10 years of experience in construction scheduling, project controls, or related supply-chain coordination.
- Preferred:
- - Experience supporting data center builds or hyperscale technology clients.
- - Experience with long-lead equipment management.
- - Prior collaboration with both field construction and procurement organizations.
