Scheduling Coordinator - Ambulatory Care Network – Cornell

Under the supervision of the Practice Administrator, the Coordinator is responsible for the EPIC schedules of the Medical Service, Attending providers, house staff and Nurse Practioners including on-call schedule rotation schedule, and outpatient schedule. This role is responsible for construction and management of all providers’ schedules. It will maintain resident schedules based on the house staff rotation calendar annually. It is also responsible for entry of all schedules, changes and adjustments in front and back-end of system. It manages resident outpatient schedules in appointment system. This position will assist Practice Administrator and Medical Director with all outpatient patient schedule preparation and maintenance. This role will liaise with all providers, working closely with key executives, directors, administrators and chief residents. Responds to daily cancellations, residents’ rotation changes and related schedule adjustments. Creates, manages, and maintains physician supervision schedule. Responsible for resident daily on-call schedule. Responsible for room assignment during clinics. Responsible for creating database to track assignment, as well as distribution of data and other job related duties as assigned.

The schedule for this full-time position will be 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Preferred Criteria

  • Knowledge of the EPIC system
  • Template creation and maintenance

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of college and 2 years of experience
  • Detailed oriented with strong follow up skills
  • Strong communication skills
