Baptist Health Medical Group is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join their Lexington Orthopedics Practice!
Scheduling Coordinator will schedule appointments, diagnostic tests/procedures and surgeries. These may include, but are not limited to: follow up appointments, surgeries / procedures, colonoscopy appointments, physician consultations, and post op appointments. The Scheduling Specialist will obtain all precertifications and referrals needed, as well as processing required documentation, medical records, forms and Kasper Reports. Specific offices may require the Scheduling Specialist to maintain hospital cards and transmit to appropriate staff and facilities.
This position may be responsible for providing back-up for the front office or the medical assistant. This position may also be responsible for verifying accuracy of the provider’s schedule in the electronic scheduling software.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One to Five years’ experience in medical field; preferably in a Specialty physician office setting.
Previous medical assistant experience preferable.
