Lovelace Biomedical is seeking a full-time individual to join our operations team a resource and planning coordinator. The primary focus will be to develop and implement software tools by working closely with research scientific operations, project management, information services, and technical groups to meet specific milestones as they relate to resource planning and management objectives. Areas of responsibility include the input of data to track project initiative, resource planning, milestone/deliverable execution, and project closing as they relate to customer/project deadlines. Candidates must display an interest in maintaining current skills and in developing job skills, gaining additional expertise through project/program management training and/or certification. Excellent knowledge of day-to-day conduct of biomedical research studies, project management and related scheduling. Working knowledge of FDA Good Laboratory Practice regulations.
Requires an Associate's degree and 2 years’ experience in a research or laboratory setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained. Computer based document editing skills required.
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed. Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office as well as excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
This position is located on Kirtland Air Force Base and will require a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and background check.
Bachelor’s degree and project management experience or certification are highly preferred.
Work is performed in an office environment. Will operate standard office equipment and will frequently stand, walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, perform repetitive motions and occasionally lift objects that weigh up to 10 pounds. Salary is commensurate with experience + $500 sign-on bonus.
