Lone Tree Post Acute is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Nurse Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily and ongoing nursing staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels, adequate shift coverage, and continuity of resident care.

This position works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), nursing supervisors, RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and CNAs to maintain an efficient, accurate, and compliant staffing schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and ongoing nursing staff schedules.

  • Coordinate staffing for all nursing shifts, including coverage for call-offs, vacations, leaves, and other absences.

  • Communicate schedule changes promptly and professionally to nursing staff and leadership.

  • Monitor staffing levels based on resident census, acuity, and facility needs.

  • Work closely with the DON and nursing supervisors to address staffing needs and schedule adjustments.

  • Maintain accurate staffing schedules, records, and employee availability information.

  • Track attendance, call-offs, overtime, and staffing coverage.

  • Identify staffing gaps and proactively seek qualified staff to fill open shifts.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of staff schedules and availability.

  • Assist with maintaining compliance with facility staffing policies and applicable regulations.

  • Communicate professionally with nurses, CNAs, supervisors, residents, and other members of the healthcare team.

  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and resident information.

  • Assist with other administrative and staffing-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification is required.

  • Previous experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, nursing administration, or skilled nursing/long-term care preferred.

  • Strong understanding of nursing staff roles and shift coverage.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with nursing leadership.

  • Proficient with computers and scheduling software; Microsoft Office experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of skilled nursing/long-term care staffing practices is a plus.

  • Reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to handle confidential employee and resident information with discretion.
