The Scheduler of Innovative Home Services private duty care assists the manager in overseeing the operations of the private duty program at Freedom Village of Bradenton, our senior living community.
As a life care community, our residents have options to support them as health needs change, and Innovative Home Services (IHS) private duty is an important part of the care and services provided on our campus.
The scheduler assists the Manager of Innovative Home Services and partners with the Director to lead the private duty program at, our senior living community.
The IHS Scheduler acts as a liaison between the agency, clients, and associates. Their primary function is to schedule and manage the flow of client care, ensuring that quality service is provided, and client satisfaction is met.
Taking the on-call phone for issues that may arise after business hours with clients and aides is required at least one weekend per month and during the week as needed. Additional compensation for this is included.
Responsibilities Include:
· Coordinates and oversees client services scheduling.
· Reviews client information to determine private duty needs and assigns appropriate personnel.
· Instructs and guides personnel to promote effective performance and delivery of quality service.
· Partners with the Director for in-service and training programs, quality assurance protocol, marketing, and labor management.
· Taking turns with the on-call phone after business hours during the week and weekends.
· Assists with billing tasks
· Will provide direct care HHA services to residents when needed, so must be able to take test to pass HHA certification. Full training is provided.
· Ensures proper maintenance of client and associate records in compliance with regulation and policy.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
· One-year experience working with older adults or in a related health care setting preferred.
· One-year scheduling experience required.
· Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
· Intermediate computer experience; must have experience with MS Word, Outlook, Excel
· Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
· Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; may be exposed to blood and body fluids which may contain HIV and/or HBV; must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, gerichair or shower chair, pushing up to 150 lbs. unassisted. Must be able to transfer, lift, turn and position a resident weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs. Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to 90% of the work day. May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior. Must be able to reach up to a level of six feet; must be able to push a dietary cart up to 40 lbs unassisted. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally
