Responsible for scheduling appointments, routing telephone calls, receiving patients, and performing various other administrative functions.

Position Details:

Mercy Clinic Springfield - Gastroenterology

Full-Time: Monday - Friday

Days

Responsible for scheduling appointments, routing telephone calls, receiving patients, and performing various other administrative functions.

Job duties included

  • Answers the telephone in a friendly and compassionate manner.
  • Accurately takes telephone messages and forwards them to the appropriate co-worker.
  • Confirms the next day's appointments for the physicians and lab.
  • Reschedules appointments for physicians as their schedules change.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of physicians scheduling templates by accurately scheduling the patient's problems according to physician directives.
  • Directs patients to the CBO account representatives when a flasher is discovered on the patient's account.
  • Promptly notifies the clinic co-workers regarding physician schedule changes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Performs job functions in a manner which is consistent with protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of Epic referrals by consistently working the referral report.
