Job Description

UVA Imaging is seeking a Scheduler I to join our patient-focused team in Charlottesville, Virginia!

Position Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

The Scheduler I plays an important role in creating a positive experience for our patients. This position supports patients throughout the scheduling and registration process while working closely with our Imaging Center and Business Office teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling patient appointments and coordinating imaging services
  • Providing friendly and professional assistance to patients by phone
  • Registering patients and maintaining accurate patient information
  • Managing medical records and other patient documentation
  • Communicating with patients, physician offices, and internal team members
  • Supporting daily Business Office and Imaging Center operations
  • Providing excellent customer service throughout every patient interaction

Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • To be competitive, must have high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of computer applications and Microsoft Office

About Outpatient Imaging Affiliates

OIA partners with healthcare providers such as health systems, academic medical centers, and radiology groups to develop, market and operate quality, patient friendly, service oriented outpatient imaging centers. OIA’s business model is to invest equity in each project alongside its local partners while providing development, management, marketing, billing and collection services to the joint venture.

OIA can assist in identifying and evaluating markets for development and acquisition targets.
