Job Description

The Leidos NISC IV team is seeking a scheduler/analyst to join the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team.

The position will be supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) NISC support team with the goal of providing outstanding customer service to FAA customers receiving NISC services throughout the eastern service area. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the NISC IV mission. The NISC IV contract provides technical and scheduling support for projects such as; Air Traffic Control Towers, NAVAIDS, communication systems and other large facilities.

This is a hybrid position, most days will be remote.

Some days in the College Park, GA office.

The Scheduler / Analyst supports construction and capital project teams through project scheduling, resource loading, reporting, data analysis, and project coordination activities.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, assigning and monitoring resource utilization, tracking project progress, identifying schedule risks and variances, and supporting project managers with timely reporting, forecasting, and analytical insights to support successful project execution.

Using scheduling and reporting tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel, the selected candidate will assist in monitoring project performance, maintaining schedule data, and supporting project controls processes across assigned programs and projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, stakeholders, leadership teams, contractors, and cross-functional departments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting project scheduling, project controls, or project management activities using industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones, and supporting schedule reporting activities
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization/reporting platforms
  • Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, engineering, or capital improvement projects
  • Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles and project controls processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, including activities, milestones, task dependencies, and logic ties
  • Track project timelines, monitor schedule performance, and maintain accurate project status information within scheduling systems and databases
  • Coordinate with project managers, stakeholders, and team members to collect schedule updates and validate project progress
  • Analyze schedule variances, identify emerging risks or delays, and communicate potential impacts to project leadership
  • Monitor critical path activities and highlight schedule slippages, delays, and recovery opportunities
  • Generate recurring and ad hoc schedule, progress, and variance reports for management and stakeholders
  • Support project controls and change management processes to ensure accurate schedule updates and documentation
  • Participate in project meetings, program reviews, and regional or national coordination calls to provide scheduling and reporting support
  • Prepare written reports, project documentation, and status updates for management review
  • Support continuous improvement of scheduling, reporting, and project tracking processes

Required Skills

  • Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project scheduling experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective stakeholder communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and project teams

This role supports complex construction and capital projects in a collaborative project management environment. The position requires regular interaction with project teams, leadership, clients, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders to support successful project execution and schedule performance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
