How you’ll contribute

A Scheduler who excels in this role:

• Schedules patients for ancillary, surgical, and medical testing, procedures, and admissions while ensuring staff and resources are available.
• Notifies patients or physician office staff of out-of-network carriers or issues that may impact benefits.
• Communicates special instructions, testing requirements, and other pertinent information to patients or physician offices.
• Reviews scheduling reports for upcoming services to ensure readiness of registration staff, availability of time slots, and appropriate staffing.
• Obtains physician orders and insurance authorization/pre-certification; enters outpatient procedures into the Order Entry System.
• Ensures consistency between scheduling and admissions modules for patients being admitted.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Prior scheduling experience is strongly preferred.

Schedule: Full Time: Monday–Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
