POSITION: Schedule II Secretary
LOCATION: Pennichuck Middle School
REPORTS TO: Principal
WORK YEAR: School year full time and part time in the summer
SALARY RANGE: Contractual starting pay - $21.18 per hour
QUALIFICATIONS: High school education. A minimum of 2 years previous experience with secretarial office functions. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, and software database programs. Must have proven organization skills and strong reading comprehension. A candidate must also possess experience with document filing protocols, strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the Principal's secretary and as such, assumes responsibility for; maintains office files and records, serves as a receptionist, routes mail, answers telephone and provides general information in response to inquiries from the School Community and beyond; operates word processor, other office machines, types correspondence, memos, teacher observations, and staff evaluations, accounting and statistical tables, purchase order and miscellaneous material; enters daily student attendance data by computer; maintains inventory records of school supplies and equipment, register and discharge students and maintain all related records, maintain student activity accounts; performs such other job related duties as may be assigned by the school principal.
