Operations – Virginia Beach, VA
The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Operations team. We’re looking for a talented Scenic Designer who will design graphics, sets and props that meet the aesthetic and functional requirements given for any T.V. film, display, or corporate event/productions. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Extensive working knowledge of drawing and drafting skills, as well as CAD drawing
- Working knowledge of television production including lighting, camera angles, color and design
- Excellent creative and design skills
- Experience and working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Vector Works
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills
- Knowledge of construction techniques
- Strong computer skills, including spreadsheets to maintain a budget
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of various period styles and current trends
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
- Ability to define problems and generate solutions
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for 10 ft.
- Strong manual dexterity skills to include ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects, build and breakdown sets
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, weekends and overtime as required
- Ability to drive trucks with a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s non-profit Christian missionaaq
