Could you be the SCC Cybersecurity Engineer in Cairo we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your cybersecurity expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.
You'll be part of the SCC Application Design team, where the SCC system comprises three subsystems: ATS (Automatic Train Supervision), SCADA, and the security system. You’ll specifically focus on strengthening the cybersecurity posture of SCC systems in compliance with IEC 62443 standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business and globally, ensuring secure, compliant, and innovative system delivery.
You’ll specifically take care of defining cybersecurity requirements, applying target Security Levels (SL), and validating system security through structured testing and analysis, while supporting integration, development, and commissioning activities.
We’ll look to you for:
Defining and applying Security Levels (SL-T) according to IEC 62443
Deriving and maintaining System Security Requirements (SSRs) based on risk and threat analysis
Creating, maintaining, and executing cybersecurity Test Cases (TCs)
Supporting automation of cybersecurity testing activities where applicable
Performing cybersecurity gap analysis and implementing mitigation measures into software and systems
Supporting secure-by-design architecture and ensuring cybersecurity compliance across SCC subsystems
Understanding and implementing secure communication protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH, HTTPS)
Managing and validating certificates, PKI, and cryptographic mechanisms
Ensuring traceability between risks, requirements, and validation activities
Supporting integration, testing, and commissioning with a cybersecurity focus
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (system, software, validation, safety)
Contributing to threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and risk assessment
Ensuring proper configuration and cybersecurity documentation management
Proactively identifying and resolving cybersecurity risks and technical challenges
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience or understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
Knowledge of IEC 62443 standards and secure-by-design methodologies
Familiarity with secure communication protocols (e.g., TLS, SSH, HTTPS)
A certification such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent
Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic mechanisms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
