Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a scale house or office adjacent to the truck scales. The work environment may involve exposure to various weather conditions, as the operator may need to step outside to interact with drivers or inspect vehicles. The role requires sitting for extended periods while operating computer systems, with occasional standing and walking. Some physical activity may be required for scale maintenance or traffic control. The Truck Scale Operator must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant truck traffic. Shift work may be required, including potential evening, weekend, or holiday hours to accommodate 24/7 operations. Safety is a top priority, requiring awareness of truck movements and adherence to all safety protocols.
