The Scale House Operations Team is responsible for weighing trucks loaded with rock, sand or construction debris/demo materials using specialized software, generating customer tickets at all area locations. Performs clerical office duties, maintains a clean, organized and safe plant office environment. This position works under general supervision, following established procedures.

Managing scales at rock quarries, sand plants and construction debris/demo materials landfills weighing inbound/outbound commercial vehicles, generate load tickets, as well as maintaining load compliance. This position operates an in-house computer program, dispatches outside haulers and ensures safety standards, acting as the primary on-site contact for logistics, material tracking, and customer service.
Primary Responsibilities may include.
Scale Operations: Operate in house or remote computerized weigh scales to accurately record tare, gross and net weights for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
Data Integrity: Input precise load and customer data into scale ticket system to ensure accurate billing, daily invoicing, and reporting.
Load Inspection: Screen incoming materials for quality and compliance, ensuring no hazardous or prohibited material enters the facility.
Logistics: Dispatch customer orders to outside haulers. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers.
Team member support role: Occasional travel between locations in the KC Metro area providing scale house coverage when a team member requests time off or has an emergency arise. (Mileage paid after 30 days of employment)
Administrative Support: Manage customer inquiries, process payments, and maintain a clean, secure and safe scale house environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Six months to one year of relevant office support experience is preferred.
Previous dispatch experience not necessary. We will train.
Knowledge & Abilities
Computer Proficiency We use Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately record large volumes while monitoring activities in the scale house and truck traffic.
Communication Strong verbal skills to communicate effectively with drivers, customers and co-workers
Organization MUST be capable of multitasking in a very fast-paced environment.
