Job Description

Scale house operator will weigh in-bound trucks as well as the trucks when leaving the mill. Each truck is logged into the computer and on a written log sheet. Operators are required to have a weigh master certificate (provided by company). The corn and wheat trucks have to be tested for moisture, test weight and temperature and retain samples for further testing. Fuel trucks and refrigerated trucks from House of Raeford have to be weighed. When visitors come on site, the scale house operator finds out who they are here to see, logs visitors in, calls the employee that has a visitor and sends them to the proper location. They have to log visitors out when they leave the premises. All completed truck log sheets and visitor log sheets have to be retained for one month and given to the supervisor. Keep a copy of all log sheets for inventory.

Qualifications

Scale House Operator has to keep written log sheets and enter information in computer. Be able to weigh trucks and use a probe on corn and wheat trucks testing for moisture, test weight and temperature and retain samples for further testing. Log visitors in and out and retain visitor log sheets as well as truck log sheets.

Operator should be observant and polite to drivers and visitors coming to the mill. The applicant must be willing to fill in if needed while others are on vacation. There will be other duties as given by supervisor. This position will be from 3:00 PM-11:00 PM with training during day shift. Some other hours as requested by management.
