The Scale Clerk will be responsible for the weighing of Trucks, Bulk Tanks and Containers entering and leaving our compound. The ideal candidate should be a motivated individual with a high level of integrity with the ability to multitask while working in a fast moving environment.
Requirements:
• A minimum of an Associate Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ working experience. Prior truck scale or weigh bridge experience would be an asset.
• Intermediate computing skills with exposure to Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with a weighbridge or an accounting software would be an asset.
• Well-developed understanding of scheduling and logistics.
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management systems.
• Basic understanding of production processes.
• Customer service focused with the ability to employ a flexible, positive attitude.
• High level of computation accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work on shifts, overtime and on-call
• Unquestionable integrity.
Responsibilities
• Controls the flow of vehicles on the weigh bridge.
• Responsible for weighing delivery vehicles (trucks, containers, bulk tanks, etc.) before and after they are loaded.
• Generate invoices and ensures accuracy of same.
• Ensures that the laden weight of trucks and bulk tanks complies with established weight standards.
• Takes daily physical inventory of stock in the Warehouse.
• Ensures that appropriate seals are placed on containers.
• Liaises with internal departments regarding the loading and dispatching of Bulk deliveries.
