As a Scale Attendant and Dispatcher with us the minimum responsibilities are:

  • Daily Operation of the weigh-station scale (Operating hours from Monday to Friday 9am-6pm)
  • Entering appropriate data accurately into computer-based platforms
  • Daily closure and verification of 27 collection routes
  • Customer account and service information updates within TRUX
  • Administration and tracking of OCC contamination programs
  • Management of inbound and outbound scale operations
  • Backup support for the Overages Program
  • Preparation and administration of customer reports for the City of Oshawa, Town of Whitby, and other contracted customers
  • Other job-related duties as needed

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM

What We Need From You

  • Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of TRUX software is an asset
  • Experience dispatching in the transportation and waste industries is an asset
  • Willingness to work overtime as required by business needs
  • Must be able to remain seated for extended periods
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment verifications
