It is part of baha Group, which develops its software in Belgrade, while selling its products globally across Europe, North America, and Asia.

TeleTrader is announcing the following vacancy within its Trading Backend team:

Scala Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Scala-based systems for order generation, trading, simulation, and performance evaluation workflows
• Work on core trading and quantitative libraries, including domain models, numerical models
• Develop and maintain interfaces to external systems for data acquisition and order execution
• Use advanced Scala features in production code (type-level programming, macros)
• Apply strong mathematical, statistical, and algorithmic thinking to problems involving simulations, numerical accuracy, computational complexity, and financial data modeling

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent industry experience
• 2+ years of experience in Scala or other functional language
• Practical knowledge of JVM ecosystem, including common libraries
• Proficiency in written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Theoretical/practical background for numerical computations
• Knowledge of financial industry, experience in financial system development and maintenance
• Experience in data acquisition and data quality assurance
