What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience supporting SCADA and OT/IT operations for utility‑scale power generation in the U.S.
  • Strong expertise with Ignition SCADA (implementation and maintenance).
  • Experience with SCADA protocols and infrastructure including MODBUS, DNP3, OPC, TCP/IP, serial, fiber, switches, and firewalls.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Experience integrating:
  • Substation devices (SEL RTACs, relays, meters)
  • Array devices (inverters, trackers, met stations)
  • Utility‑owned RTUs
  • Familiarity with NERC compliance from a SCADA/OT perspective.
  • Fluent English and a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Preferred

  • Official Ignition Certification (or completion of Inductive University training).
  • Experience supporting multi‑site or fleet‑level operations.
  • Knowledge of solar technologies; energy storage and wind experience a plus.
  • Experience with SEL products and utility telemetry standards.

Candidate Profile

Activities:

  • Enforce Total Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy in all his/her responsibilities and ensure that external third parties (O&M/EPC contractors, vendors, consultants) operate in a manner acceptable to TotalEnergies HSE standards
  • Work with various SCADA/IT vendors, EPCs, O&M, equipment manufacturers, utilities and internal teams to meet all grid integration, internal IT/OT/Cybersecurity and operational requirements through all project phases
  • Work directly on the SCADA Implementation and O&M on utility scale projects with various technologies and architectures.
  • Know and follow TERUSA standards and exhibits for SCADA, OT/IT, and Cybersecurity.
  • Review project submittal exhibits from vendors and ensure compliance with internal expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with TotalEnergies internal IT and cybersecurity standards
  • Implement third party data integrations (API, SFTP, OPC-UA, OPC-DA etc.) to enable end to end workflows and real-time data streams for automated system control and monitoring
  • Build and manage tools that allow automated data acquisition and performance analysis with data from SCADA and other sources
  • Ensure PPC (Power Plant Controller) operation meets grid integration and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate and own the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders.
  • The position consists of work indoors with occasional travel to other offices and job sites. Travel expectations shall consist of approximately 1 week per quarter.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical event escalation.
  • Know, respect and ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Conduct.
  • Accountability for SCADA System Operability, project data flow, and OT/IT operation and conformity
  • Support the operation of TotalEnergies Utility Power Plant business in the U.S.
  • Accountability for safety and project operations.
  • Operational role for the implementation and operation of the site SCADA & OT/IT system
