Reports to: SBA Due Diligence Manager

Status: Non - Exempt

Grade: 8

Pay Range: $21.55 - $36.63

Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Location: Blue Bell, PA

Purpose/Objective

Mentors and helps train new loan documentation & boarding staff. Subject matter expert in all aspects of the SBA funding process from initial to final disbursement. Manages disbursement workflow. Prepares documentation for a variety of commercial small business loan closings, modifications, and processing with a primary focus on SBA Lending; administers follow-up modifications, all in accordance with loan policy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Mentors and helps train LOB staff in procedures for disbursement/funding/QC of the SBA loan process. Manages daily funding/disbursement workflow of entire team.
  • Interacts with LOB closing staff for transition of an applicant file (loan commitment) to asset (booked loan). Reviews documentation for key elements to ensure boarding procedures and data are available for upload to core systems. Prepares Laser Pro documents and supplemental documentation as needed for SBA small loans and modifications.
  • Assists in loan fundings, pays referral fees and SBA Guaranty Fees, prepares wires and checks and edits documents as required. inputs loan information to the core system; enters collateral and ticklers for future follow-up to preserve collateral position.
  • Prepares loan modifications and processes maintenance on the core system, prepares manual bills, and calculates interest accruals.
  • Prepare and catalog documentation for off-site retention.
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties.

Education:

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • 5 years’ banking experience, lending experience preferred
  • Training/mentor experience preferred
  • Paralegal experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient with MS Office & Internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Sound understanding of core systems
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
