Work Keys Reading for Information - Level 3 reading materials include basic company policies, procedures, and announcements. They are short and simple, with no extra information. Employees read the materials to find out what they should do. All the information they need is stated clearly and directly, using easy words and straightforward sentences.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Work Keys for Applied Mathematics – Level 3 problems can easily be translated from a word problem to a math equation. All the needed information is presented in a logical order and there is no extra information given.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Keys Locating Information – Level 3 workplace graphics are elementary. They may be simple order forms, bar graphs, tables, flowcharts, maps, instrument gauges, or floor plans. At level 3, employees use one graphic at a time.
