We are looking for a dedicated Satellite Ground Operations Manager who shares our core values of Customer passion, Care, Collaboration, Curiosity, and Courage.

Responsibilities

The GOM manages all ground segment operations, ensuring continuous and reliable data flow between the spacecraft and mission control systems. The main tasks will be the following:

  • Oversee ground network availability, configuration, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with ground stations and network service providers for link availability.
  • Supervise the Ground Operations Engineers (GOEs).
  • Ensure data integrity across telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) systems.
  • Validate ground segment software updates and system maintenance activities.
  • Manage configuration control of ground system elements (servers, interfaces, databases).
  • Report on network performance metrics and outages.

Requirements

  • MSc in Aerospace or Space, Telecommunication Engineering or other relevant studies.
  • Proven extensive experience - at least 5 years - in ground operations, including direct involvement in LEOP activities.
  • Network and system admin, knowledge on mission planning and flight dynamics systems.
  • Strong knowledge of TT&C systems, ground networks, and mission control infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ground segment monitoring and telemetry handling.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams under time-critical conditions.
  • Advanced level of English and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in LEO missions.
  • On-call availability during all spacecraft contact windows and outside the windows for the system troubleshooting.
  • Ensure readiness of backup systems and alternate communication paths.

Legal and Security Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally allowed to work in the EU and hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
  • Copy of passport and degree(s) certificate.
  • Good conduct certificate from the country where currently resident.
  • Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference checks.
