Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Associate, Experienced, or Lead Satellite Electrical Power and Harness Systems Engineers (Level 2, 3, or 4) to join our team in El Segundo, California.
The Space, Intelligence, and Weapon Systems (SIWS) team designs and delivers next-generation satellite products and services for both commercial and proprietary customers. Our team supports all engineering phases, including technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements definition, design, build, integration, testing, and demonstration in operational environments.
The Electrical Power System (EPS) and Harness Engineering team is responsible for the design, analysis, testing, and operation of power systems across a variety of vehicle classes. This includes power generation, energy storage, power regulation, and power distribution. We seek candidates with a strong engineering / scientific / analytical background to work on system level issues including, but not limited to: proposal work, power system design, power system testing, and anomaly resolution.
Ideal candidates will possess expertise in harness design tools, electrical modeling tools, power systems architecture, and regulated power systems and familiarity with modern "battery-on-bus" architectures to enable future technology insertion.
As a Satellite Electrical Power and Harness Systems Engineer at Boeing, you will be part of a high-performing, dynamic team working on intensive satellite development projects. Your work will span power and harness subsystems for both one-time development and sustaining engineering efforts.
Our team includes engineers focused on power system design and harness system design. While expertise in both areas is highly desirable, distinct roles exist during the design phase. Post-critical design reviews, during integration and test phases, these responsibilities typically consolidate under a single engineer. Below are the key responsibilities for this role:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in El Segundo, CA.
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Associate (Level 2) Summary pay range: $98,600 - $133,400
Experienced (Level 3) Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
Lead (Level 4) Summary pay range: $146,200 - $197,800
